Shawl Pins

I HATE going to Curves, but because I know it is good for me, I force myself to go 3 times a week. Lately it has been more fun to go because I found out one of the women who goes when I do makes this beautiful jewelry from vintage silverware. When I saw her shawl pins, I just had to have one because I knit so many shawls. (the bottom picture). Lost Earring

Boo Hoo! I got these lovely earrings and the first time I wore them, I lost one. Just reordered another pair so the other one will probably show up. Target is getting so tired of me calling them today I was "politely" told, "we have your contact information-we'll call you if it shows up."

Necklace

For many years, Betsy made cute little decorations for our nametags at MN Knitters' Days-things like miniature mittens, hats, shawl, stitch markers. This year she made a necklace for each of us. This is the one I made similar to hers.

Yarn: Cosmos

Needle: Size 2, 15 inch circular.

For this size I cast on 120 sts on the circular needle, put the bead on the needle, joined the knitting, knit one row sliding the bead along, and cast off. Done!

Metal Jewelry Class

A few weeks ago I took a metal jewelry class at Beadbury. The big one started out as a shawl pin, but ended up a pendant. A fun class-learning how to use various tools to cut and shape metal. The only thing lacking was my imagination.
