I Did it-Sort Of

A couple posts ago, I showed one of my failures. Last week my daughter sent me a picture of her correctly done Cotton Leaf Rag and told me that I had not read the directions for one of the symbols correctly. It said to knit to end of row AND KNIT BACK. So, yesterday I was determined to get this stupid thing right.

Attempt # 4

At this point my husband told me we could have a garage sale and sell all the incorrect dishcloths.

Attempt # 5

At least this one is close. It's the last one I'm doing. Using Attempt  #3 makes me laugh.

Evening in The Garden

This was a test knit for Aino Haikala from Finland. I love her designs as she uses uniques methods of increasing and does the unexpected plus her flower designs are unusual.

This is partially done.
Yarn: Joslyn's Fiber Farm Spider Web
Needles: Size 4. I switched to my Signature needles for this as it was easier to work the increases and decreases.
Beads were applied with a crochet hook as it was knit.

Blocking.

I Give Up!

This was my first attempt to make a simple dish rag-of all things. Pretty weird! I chalked this one up to knitting in a group of talking people so couldn't keep track of my short rows.

So, I came home and did it in peace and quiet-not too much better.

This is the third attempt. It sort of, kind of resembles a leaf. I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong. At least it is going to be good enough to wash my dishes and probable scour my dirtiest kettles.

This is what it is supposed to look like. See any resemblance? The pattern is Cotton Leaf Rag, free pattern on Ravelry.
