Cookie A
Yesterday I spent a wonderful day taking 2 classes from Cookie A at Needlework Unlimited. I admire her sock patterns and wanted to meet her. The morning class was toe up socks and the afternoon was traveling stitches. Good classes. Of course I spent some money! Bought 2 sock yarns and 6 more of Cookie's patterns. Now, just to find the time to knit them.
This is probably the only spot of blue sky today. It's been cloudy grey, temp in the 70's, humid, and pouring rain right now-2 hours after I took the picture.
Made for a class to teach basic cabling. The first 2 and last 2 cables are twisted stitches, the 3rd and 6th are yarn over and a decrease, and 4 and 5 are 6 stitch traditional cables.
Goddess Knits Anniversary Mystery Shawl A Long. I'm thoroughly enjoying this project-both the shawl and the mystery and suspense of the clues. Now to wait until Saturday for the next clue. I've used Chart B for Clues 1 and 2 and Chart C for Clue 3.
I'm a retired nurse who wonders how I ever had time to work. Now I spend a good part of my life knitting and teaching knitting. I'm married to the same man for 50 years and we have 2 adult daughters, 1 adult son,9 grandchildren ages 20 to 8 and a new great grandaughter. My Travel Friend and I started a chapter of The Red Hat Society.
